Did you have a pedi well check between 4 and 6 weeks?

I was surprised to find out at the 2 week check up that they wouldn't see lo again until 2 months. We actually went in at about 10 days old because she had blocked tear ducts and they checked her over then. She was already past her birth weight then by 5 ounces. As a ftm and ebf, I just want to make sure she's gaining the amount of weight that she should. Her diaper output seems on track but I guess i just want more reassurance. Is this pedi schedule normal? Should i call to see if i can take her in to be weighed or just go with their schedule? She is 5 weeks yesterday. Wwyd?

    Totally normal. They see them at 2weeks, then 2mos. Well baby appts follow the immunization schedule. I ended up taking Dd in at 5w due to a fever.

    Yep normal.  It seems like a long time in between for at first.  I did the unofficial weight check this am of weighing myself and then adding LO to see how much she weighs.  :)

    My /Chart; BFP 3/8/11 CP 3/16/11; 7/11 HSG & S/A both clear;
    Cycle 12~ 50 mg Clomid=BFP 9/9/11, Beta #1=280 & Beta #2=1513, 6w3d hb=122 bpm/ 8w2d hb=186 bpm/12w2d could not hear hb had a 3rd u/s and got to see the hb. 16w2d heard the hb! 156 bpm. A/S 1/3=girl

    We got seen at four days,  one week, and one month, but only because LO lost a lot of weight at the beginning and they didn't want to wait until two months to make sure she was gaining enough.

    Some offices will let people use the scale without an appointment. See if that is available for you.

    Ok, good! Glad to hear this is the norm. I also tried to do the same with my own scale but it's not digital so didn't work very well. I might try at my sis n' laws and if not, maybe I will call to see if I can use the scale at the doc. I don't really think i have anything to worry about. I am just a cautious person and thi is my first go around. Thanks ladies!

    We didn't have a 2 week check. We had his first checkup at 5 days, then 1 month, and the next one will be at 2 months.

    Normal. We had one at2 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks, but that w because he had some blood sugar issues and was slightly jaundiced and having trouble latching, so they just wanted to check him. We don't go back until 2 months.
