I didn't get much on mother's day beyond a card and he cooked dinner so that is pretty much what he is getting. We'll prob go tot he pool as a family & perhaps for a bike ride if it is not too roasting hot, and I'll let him sleep in and give him some alone time if he wants to go to the gym or do something for himself.
We don't tend to do 'gifts' (this year mine was the bike trailer & his was our grill. but we planned to get those anyway so we just sort of say they're our 'gifts') but I did do this for him from both kids- I typed it up on my own, one for each kid and included a little photo on the bottom and printed the out as 4x6 and put them in a little double frame...he's not big on stuff on the work desk but I wanted it in some form besides a piece of paper so I bought a really cheap frame & figure we can stick it on his desk at home or whatever. I think it might be fun to do for a couple years & see how the answers change & then save them for the kids' baby book/keepsakes. Their answers were pretty funny, I think he'll get a kick out of it.
But I also put together some 8x10 photo collages on walgreens.com, picked them up about an hour later at the nearest store, and bought some frames for them. I'm giving one to DH, and made others for my dad, his dad, and even one for my mom that I'll send later.
It's a fast gift, but still pretty personalized and not all that expensive, either!
I am debating between getting him a gift certificate for an a hot towel shave, or having his car detailed. It's REALLY dirty and he has been mentioning that he really wants to get it done.
I do the DAD photos every year so I'm giving him that and a gift card for a massage (he's been workin out a lot lately and keeps saying how sore he is). Our anniversary is the day after fathers day and his birthday is in mid July so I'm just glad to get one holiday off my list!
