One month old and long nap? not complaining anyone else?

My LO slept for 5 hours this morning. I am not complaining at all. Although 5 hours seems a little long anyone else have a little one sleep that long? My DS is 43 days old.

  • DS has tried to do this a couple of times, but I wake him by 4 hours to eat

  • I tried to wake him to no avail he is knocked out for the count.
  • Sometimes out LO will sleep longer, but I wake her up shortly after her normal feeding time has passed. Our ped told us that if you want to get sleep yourself, then you should wake them so their days/nights don't get mixed up.

Wow I bet that was nice! I can't wait till my LO can sleep for longer periods of time. Right now I feel like all I get is short little power naps.

  • DS sleeps 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 at night. He's amazing. Evenings are sometimes rough though, he can be pretty fussy. I don't let him go more than 4 hours though before I wake him up. If he goes more than that he forgets how to function, can't figure out how to eat or even poop he's so worked up and hungry.
