I think desserts that have coffee in them are gross. This may be because I *hate* coffee, but I dont understand the appeal of having something sweet that can also taste bitter due to the coffee. Blech.
Maybe this is more of a vent than an UO, but I don't think they should make big rigs as wide as they are. They take up most of the lane, and they scare me to death. I hate having to pass one because they get so close to my car, and I'm paranoid about them trying to change lanes and not seeing me. I understand that they have to be built to accomodate standard shipping containers, but could they not build them narrow enough to fit on the road better without infringing on other lanes?
Yeah I love coffee desserts... tiramisu? Yes please... I don't like straight coffee but every morning I will have a coffee with milk and splenda. My DH calls it my "morning milkshake" because it's basically a shot of coffee, an entire cup of milk and 4 splendas... delicious.
My UO (possibly more of a FFFC but I know I'll forget by then) is that I really don't think CIO is mean or wrong in any capacity. Teaching your child to put themselves to sleep is one of the most important things you can do for them at this age. My best friend still has to rock her 4 YEAR OLD to sleep everynight and she has said, flat out, that if she knew then what she know's now, they would have done CIO in a second.
ETA: By "this age" I mean as little babies younger than a year. Not specifically at the 5ish months that our LO's are at now. Some would still argue that 5 months is too early (my pedi doesn't think it is) but, so as not to start a debate about CIO at 5 months specifically, I thought I'd clarify.
This is more of a vent but I just left Chik Fil A and all the pre teens in the play area were making me mad. My little one is still a baby but the play area was packed and didn't need all those extra kids who were too big. Where are these kids parents who let them go in there?

I don't think there's anything wrong with letting LO play on their own. I work from home 2 days a week if I didn't put LO on his mat or in his exersaucer I'd never get anything done. He's always supervised of course but he has a blast! and I think it's good for them to entertain themselves sometimes

I was just about to say this (so I guess it's not so unpopular). I think it's important to let ds learn to play on his own and not need constant entertainment from me or others. I also don't think it's bad to put cartoons on sometimes. He likes to look at the colors and gets super excited when Steve from Blues Clues talks into the camera. He thinks he's talking to him and start laughing and babbling away.

I buy coffee ice cream because DH will not eat it then.
I enjoy having something sweet with a cup of coffee.
Nothing better than to balance it out.
I agree!
