Fluid level getting low

Went to my MFM appt. yesterday and they said that my fluid is in the low normal range.  the doc didn't come in, just sent the tech to tell us, so i am not SO concerned, but i guess this is a hint the end will probably be coming by 36 weeks like my OB predicted.

anyone have experience with this?

  • they are doing U/S (biophysicals?) every week now because i am having twins.  They were searching for the fluid sacks and had a real hard time doing so.  They said it MAY be under a twin, that they couldn't really see because its so squished in there, but they want to bring me back Monday to be cautious.

ETA:  also, when i looked it up, it said most people lose fluid towards the end, but if lost too early, the placenta will break down and it can affect growth or something like that.

I have the opposite problem actually- too much fluid.  Yes, it means the end is near.  Try to drink as much as humanly possible and avoid pop if you are still drinking it, since that takes water out of your body.

    Good luck!!!

AHHH!  hopefully not TOO near.  i hope to make it to 36 weeks.  thanks for the advice on the soda!!!
