the screaming is making me lose my mind

A just figured out how to scream yesterday.  By the end of the day I just couldn't handle him anymore, I was losing my mind.  He thinks it's so awesome, I don't see this phase ending anytime soon.  He got bored with the fake cough fairly quickly and the gasping craze last maybe 3 days, but I don't think I'll be so lucky with the screaming.

    Maybe he'll be hoarse?  J loses his voice very easily lol.

    Maybe I should put this in the UO thread, but I love LO's scream fests. When he gets really excited or is playing with DS he screams at the top of his lungs. It cracks me up all the time. They are playing with fridge magnets and he's doing it right now.

    If it was just happy screams I wouldn't mind.  It started like that but then he figured out he could scream while crying too.  Ugh.

    Ohhh, that kind of crying. Yeah, that phase ended quickly. She got a patt on the butt and a firm "No, Ariana" and then I put her down when she threw tantrums like that. You can whine and cry, little lady, but we do not scream.

    When the happy screams get on my nerves I try to channel it into another sound. When she just yells, "AAAAAAAA" I try to change it into "lalalalalala." It works sometimes.

    My DD likes to scream, too and when she gets going my 2 1/2 year old DS joins in.  It doesn't bother me, though. I think its kind of funny! Good luck!  But it is always joyful screams for us.
