Hi all,
My twin girls are growing quickly! I have beautiful girl clothes I'd like to start getting rid of. Much of it worn only a few times some just once! I am now starting to organize them, by sets, sizes and taking pictures etc. I also use cloth diapers and have newborn sizes that are very clean and ready to sell. I am very meticulous with all my things and only will sell items in excellent condition. Can anyone suggest where I can sell these? And of course, if any one is interested please send me a message.
Thank you!
Re: Suggestions on how to sell twin clothing
There a group on facebook called Mom's of Multiples Resale, https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/MomsofMultiplesResale/
The purpose is to sell/buy used twin clothing. GL!
It depends on how much you want to make and how quickly you want to sell them.
You can do Ebay, but if you're not familiar with buying/selling clothes on there, it could be a pain and not worth the time and effort to deal with setting it all up and the fees, etc. (although plenty of people do). PP mentioned selling them as a Lot, which is fine if you just want to get rid of them. If you want to maximize your profits, I would sell them individually (as a twin set, or each individual if they are a name brand such as Gymboree, etc...twin sets typically goes for less, so if it's a good brand, it may be worth separating it...lots always go for less)
MoM sales are good, but since they only occur a couple times a year (at least here), then you may not want to wait that long. However, if you can hold off until the end of summer, they may be having one coming up in the fall.
CL is a great option if you some time and are home a lot. Just be prepared to wait for people and be stood up a lot. You can make some decent money, but remember, people usually don't want to pay top price, maybe just a little more than garage sale prices. We have a pretty large twin section on CL, so you may too.
Consignment stores are also great, but don't pay you crap! If you're not worried about making money and just want to get rid of them quickly, I would look into this.
You may also want to check out other sites similar to Ebay that allow you to sell for free. They are becoming more popular, but it still may take some time for your stuff to sell. Lots of people that sell baby clothing that are getting fed up with Ebay and are turning to these sites. Ebay has a lot more traffic, but it may be worth looking some up, especially because they are free to list.
This exactly! I've made $50 in the past 24 hours selling on here. I've had stuff listed for a while, I think part of why it didn't sell sooner is that people weren't thinking quite as far ahead as far as the newborn stuff goes. (I had fall babies, so during the summer people aren't needing long sleeved fleece sleepers LOL)
