I noticed that a lot of various milk brands say hey no longer use the growth hormones in their cows. This was my main reason for choosing organic, but now I'm wondering ificould be saving $3 a gallon by getting regular. Besides hormones, is there another major reason to chose organic milk.
Re: Why do you choose organic milk?
This, plus the small letter saying "our farmers have pledge not use rBGH" doesn't mean it's true, it's not regulated. Pastured, local and organic is best, second best is the expensive organic milk at the grocery store. Well in fact I've been just learning about non-homogenized milk being better but for now I'm sticking with organic store bought.

Organic milk not only ensures that the cows are not treated with hormones, but also that they are not treated with antibiotics and are given organic feed. The organic feed makes a difference because it cannot be treated with pesticides and said pesticides cannot bioaccumulate in the cows and end up in you!
Another reason is that every dollar you spend is a vote for what kind of products you want to see more of. More organic milk available = less $$ for organic milk.
