Hoping our little one doesn't have any Brady's so we can bring him home on Saturday or Sunday. We were told to get a wedge for him to sleep on to keep his reflux in check. Anyone use a wedge or know of other alternatives. Just curious to see what our options are? Thanks.
Re: Wedge
we still use a wedge sometimes! DS had issues with reflux and brady's as well, so before discharge I bought a wedge...I ended up getting the boppy wedge that you can put on top of the boppy. I tried using the whole pillow folded (it is really two wedges and can be folded into one larger wedge) but the folded version was too large so I took one side out and put it under the bassinet mattress.
...However...DS ended up sleeping in his bouncy seat for a long time due to the reflux. He did all kinds of grunting but it ended up working better than a raised mattress.
A lot of mom's on here use(d) the Rock-n-Play and I truely wish I had gotten one. The incline is (from what I have read) just about perfect for a preemie dealing with both reflux and brady's. This may be a better investment than just a werdge to put under your baby's mattress.
