Disposable Diapers

Hi! I don't post here alot but I was hoping for some input from you girls.

My daughter has always worn pampers and done fine in them (no rashes or leaks) but lately since she is walking and running all over the place I find that the lack of the elastic waistband on pampers cause them to sag on her alot as she moves around. I've decided to try several different brands of diapers to see if any are better. I've tried Huggies (both Little movers and snug and dry) and they fit great and work during the day but at night she leaks out of them.

Now I know every baby is different so it's hard to advise on this subject, but I'd still like to know, which diapers do you ladies think are the best?

TIA

  • Honestly, Pampers Baby Dry.

I don't know which Pampers you are using, but we have used these forever and they work for us.   i have tried LUVS, Huggies, and Up and Up and for us Pampers won by a long shot.

When ever LO starts to have leak issues, I just go up a size.

My DD wears Pampers Baby Dry & they work great.

Maybe you should use the Huggies during the day & keep a pack of Pampers around to use at night.

  • We have always used huggies but about one month ago I noticed her soaking through the diapers too at night.  She sleeps 11-12 hours and I am not one to wake a sleeping kiddo so we purchased the huggies overnights.  I LOVE THEM!!! They work great, have never had a leaking diaper since we started them.  My daughter is a a roller, tosser, turner, stand up, lay down sleeper.

  • We use Pampers baby dry (I didn't like cruisers) and I've never had a leak so I really shouldn't complain. I guess my only issue is the that the diaper sags even if she's not wet. I like the idea of huggies during the day and pampers at night. Tonight we're trying the up & up brand....we'll see how it goes

    Thanks ladies

  • We don't issues with Huggies or Pampers, so we normally get what is on sale or whatever I have coupons for.

  • With my son Luvs worked best.  With my daughter, Luvs worked great up until about 6 months, and then they started leaking.  I tried a whole bunch of brands, and finally ended up with Up&Up.  They work great and almost never leak.  Bonus is that they are cheap.

If you like the huggies during the day and pampers at night why not just do that?

if the huggies work for you during the day i would stick with them for daytime and use a nighttime diaper at night. we use huggies overnights and they work great.
  • Target's brand diapers are great! I like them better than Pampers or Luvs, I think they are the most absorbant.

  • We use the walmart brand and they work great!  (for half the price)  The only sagging we get is in the mornings when his diaper is very wet, but I change him often during the day and they fit very snuggly.

  • When DS got older we switched from pampers baby dry to pampers cruisers.  We plan to do the same with DD.  With DS we tried several different kinds of diapers and pampers were always the ones that worked best.  With DD, we never even tried a different diaper...just sticking with what we know works.  Hope you find one that works for you soon!

  • We like huggies for that same reason. Of course I have boys and they tend to do better with them anyway. Have you thought about just adding a diaper insert at night or using their night-time diapers? It costs more but they would last longer since you are using them just once a day..err night. ;-)

  • We use cloth, but when it is washday and at night [DS is a HUUUGE wetter], we use Pampers Cruisers.  GL!
