Good little read... this is what new parents SHOULD be told!

https://powerofmoms.com/2012/05/joy-or-just-wait/

Instead of telling new parents with a defeated attitude to "just wait until he's a teenager" or whatever... this is the kind of advice new parents need to hear.  Even when our LOs seem to stay up all night, throw their food all over, have poopsplosions, etc... Just wait until they show how proud they are to poopy on the potty, curl up to you to snuggle and take a family nap, etc.

  • That is so, so very true :)  Wait until your 4 year old tells you that you're his best friend.  Or until you're running around in the morning, trying to make it out of the house on time and he stops you to tell you that you look "very pwetty", and all of a sudden, it doesn't really seem to matter if you're late to work, or just stepped on a block (again!) or that just moments before that you were telling this same kid to stop squeezing his brother so hard and to please use his inside voice....all of those little moments make it worthwhile :)

Thanks for sharing! Those are the kinds of reminders I need right now, because we're going through major sleep regression and I am one tired momma!
