Today we found out DS2 has not only colic, but a milk allergy. Guess who just became milk free? Joy. So so far I have figured out that I can eat a hamburger with no mayo or cheese and chicken. Hmmm I think my grocery list is gonna be short apparently everything has some sort of milk or dairy in it.(and I cant even just go lactose free, its the protein in cows milk he can't process) We were lucky enough to know what it was because DS1 and DH also have milk allergies, just not as severe.
To top it off if this doesn't work were off to a G.I doctor in a few weeks. Until then there will be lots of baby tears around here. Poor little man you can tell he feels horrible.

My DD1 was dairy free and still is. It's not that hard actually, but DH and I have always eaten a lot of whole foods. So lots of fruit, veggies, meats etc. Now I have found a few yogurts that are coconut milk and she does really well with them. I bake with rice milk and most things turn out just fine.
But if it is not a lifestyle you are used to it can feel so challenging and limiting. GL!

This website is great! Definitely makes you feel less trapped. You may want to clarify with your doctor how strict you need to be, a lot of times you have to get rid of hidden dairy as well... my hardest thing is going out to eat, I don't trust anyone and miss it!
