Best thing for gas is to walk walk walk. Keep moving. It keeps your bowels passing everything thru. You can take Simethicone (gas X) as well. Also a little thing I give my patients after their CSections if they are having gas pains is you take a cup half full of milk and poor another half way of ginger ale over this. It makes kinda like a float. then down the hatch. It sounds crazy but they all say it works.
c/s #2 with DS2 I had the WORST gas...worse than with DS1. They ended up giving me a chewable gas tablet because I was getting to the point where I couldn't eat and was in pain from the gas. It helped eventually. Also walking around helped.
The gas was by far the worst part of my rcs. I took gasx...it didn't help. Getting up and walking helped a lot. The gas pains started the day after I delivered. I started walking at least 1 lap around maternity every time I nursed DD (so every 2 hrs max) and it had mostly subsided by the time I was discharged (48 hrs after delivery). I had gas a lot longer after my first cs and I think it was because I did not know I was supposed to walk so I didn't.

Stop drinking soda too. The carbination makes it worse. The nurse kept pushing ginger ale & then the OB told me to back off & that helped a lot.
