Babies: 3 - 6 Months

are you more fertile after giving birth?

please tell me this is not true. I am almost 3 months pp. I have had one period since giving birth and I was due for my period yesterday and it never came. I am realllllllly hoping that periods are just irregular after giving birth? fyi I am NOT breastfeeding

Re: are you more fertile after giving birth?

  • Yes you are the most fertile at that point. My step sister who had ivf to get pregnant got pregnant 10 weeks pp on her very own.

  • I think it depends. If you had fertility issues before, then most likely yes. Hormone issues like PCOS can go away after pregnancy, because your hormones are now balanced out.

  • We had no issues getting preg the first time with my older son (took 4 months), but we got preg VERY easily the second time when my son was 12 months. We DTD one time from cycle day 9 to 26, and we got preg, so once was all it took that month.

  • I'm having pregnancy paranoia lately too.

Cramps, fatigue, random depression, nausea from time to time, the same pain in my ovary area that I had when I was pregnant before, occasional heartburn.

I might be in denial, or my symptoms are there just because I'm worried.... but that's a whole lot of symptoms.

thanks! I wish you luck too!! and oh...my sons name is Grayson as well!!!:o)

  • I got AF well over a month ago (I think almost 2 months) and haven't got it since (or any symptoms) and it would be impossible for me to be pregnant unless I caught something from the toilet seat if you catch my drift haha!  (Poor hubby) So try not to worry too much, if you stress about it, that could be why it hasn't come back.  I think its common for them to be out of whack for a while!
