Adoption

Adoption Prayer Group

Hi everyone, The Adoption Prayer Group is a support group utilizing the power of prayer. If you want to join I will assign you a prayer buddy and all you have to do is simply include that person in your prayers. Very simple-yet powerful!!! The complete listing of partners can be found under Prayer Partners. I usually post on Wednesdays. Feel free to search under Adoption Prayer Group and check in at whatever time of day. If you have any concerns, special prayer requests, or need to reach me outside of the bump please email me at suzannesteward69@yahoo.com.

If you want to join the group and be linked up with a prayer partner please provide the following info: your name, and if you choose your email address. If you?re not comfortable with posting your email address, please feel free to send me a private message with your email address. Prayer Partners: Joe?s Sweet Pea and Silliest Bunny, Katybug_h and Jen is Silly, Sugardumpling and Ginger71, babywisher and firecracker8, julandjo and cogbot, GnomeSweetGnome and srmmm09, kellz and Amber, Gracie Sue Nicole and Brenda, Porsha and pinkzebra, Honeydew and Potatohead, MandertheDB and Amy720, Layafette Girl and msamerica, Amyaggie 97 and lizlemmon19, Butterflygroves and Justplanelove.

This Week?s Events:

Praise: Bhead81: She has started her new job this week! With her new job, she and her DH will be requesting a finalization date from CA for Braeden.

Zanymermaid: Her dog had a chicken bone stuck in his throat, but the vet removed it and he?s fine now.

Special Prayer Requests: Please let me know if you have any prayer requests.

Rachel: Please pray that things work out with the expectant parents that she got a call about.

Welcome new members! Please welcome Butterflygrooves and Justplanelove!

Reflection for the day: Deuteronomy 1:21: The Lord himself goes at your head; he will be with you; he will not let you down or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.

Question of the day: Have you recently discovered a television show that you really like? For me, it?s Primeval, made in Britain. It?s all about the fact that there are time portals into the prehistoric age and dinosaurs are coming into the modern day world. It?s fascinating!

Group updates: -If you have any upcoming events (appointments, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) be sure to let me know so I can post them in the events section!!

Re: Adoption Prayer Group

  • Updates:  I would have posted this last week but I was at camp so it was a little hectic!  Are home study has been approved and finalized!  We are just waiting on our profile book to be approved and then we will be on the match waiting list.

QOTD: We have started watching Dogs in the City.  Other than that there are no new shows we have started watching.

  • I faithfully read these posts every Wednesday, but usually on my nook and it never lets me post. Well today I'm finally at my computer, so I can actually reply. :)

Updates: Nothing new on our side, still waiting for a placement. I'm struggling these days so prayers for patience and peace of my would be greatly appreciated.

The verse you chose for today was simply perfect for me! Thank you so much!

QOTD: My DH and I watched "Endgame" on Hulu. There was only one season out though :( I love mysteries, so this was perfect.

  • We have a meeting with a social worker on Monday regarding Foster-to-Adopt.  Please pray that all goes well and that we can find a way to move forward.  Prayers that my sister would find a suitable place quickly too.  But I'm happy to report that the relationships are much better now...

QOTD:  The only new show I've seen lately is Dogs in the City.  I liked it... but I liked The Dog Whisperer better.  Wink  We don't have cable... So, we don't see many new shows.

Glad to see you Marion!! Prayers for patience and peace are on the way!

I look forward to reading the verses each week also. I seem to be needing them lately!

QOTD: we didn't like it much at first, but my cousin got us hooked on Game of Thrones! I can't believe the season is over already!! :-(

Update: The couple decided not to abort and to go ahead with the adoption plan!!! Thanks so much for all of the prayers, because they must have worked.

They are supposed to contact our agency next week after they tell their families, and hopefully will decided to be matched with us in their last trimester, if its meant to be. Our mutual friend gave the expectant mother the link to my blog and she called today to tell me that the EM said she couldn't stop reading it last night, and that she couldn't imagine a more perfect family for them!

I hope she feels the same way in October, but its all in God's hands now! I am just really thankful that they decided to continue with the pregnancy, whatever the outcome.
