Now THAT'S how you talk to a pregnant woman

I had two great conversations today, one with a coworker, and another with a volunteer. The first:

Coworker: Hey, how's it going?

Me: Pretty good

Coworker: When are you due?

Me: July 21st

Coworker: Wow. Well you look fantastic!

The second:

Volunteer: When's your baby due?

Me: July 21st

Volunteer (Claps hands together) Wonderful! You look so pretty in that blouse!

See? It's not hard! Why can't all people act that way? Keep it short, non-invasive, and finish with a great compliment. I think I'm going to start a book of these. People need to be taught!

I got a great one yesterday:

Customer: How much longer do you have?

Me: About three weeks, I'm due July 7.

Customer: Wow! But you're so teeny! You don't look like you've gained any weight!

If only she had seen what I looked like BEFORE, she'd be singing a different tune! But still, very sweet, and made me feel less whale-ish.

I got this for the 2nd time at Walgreens getting my hospital and PP supplies by a young female cashier, my response "I feel like I am about to pop!" I thought it was a pretty good comeback lol

Haha awesome. My last response was "I already did. I just duct taped her back in."

I've gotten many compliments this week as well. I also appreciate web I tell people I am due in three weeks, and they say "wow, almost there!" yes, that's right...ALMOST FRIGGIN THERE!!!

I got a "you look like you're all baby!" in the elevator today. Much better than "you look like you've been pregnant forever" three weeks ago.

A friend's girlfriend messaged me on FB asking when I was due...i replied July 27...she said wow that's a long time...last time I saw you I thought you were about to go into labor (she saw me at 25 weeks) gee thanks!
