I'm out for the summer (teacher), and I feel like I do NOTHING all day. I feel so guilty for not cleaning, decluttering, or doing anything productive. Anyone else? Make me feel better...
Yep. After a super busy weekend and Monday, DD and I didn't even get out of our pj's until 4:30 yesterday! We didn't walk outside of our house until 5:00. It seems like I have lots of those days lately.
I feel guilty too especially since DH is working all day. I know I am going to be craving this kind of time in just a couple of weeks and I really should be productive.
Aw I'm so jealous! I'm working up until I go into labor and then our weekends are so packed with doing family stuff and finishing up getting ready for our little girl! I wish I had the summer off so I could just be a bum. You should go to the pool and relax in the water....it feels amazing!!
And don't feel guilty -- you'll be plenty busy when that little baby comes!!!
I get this too! I stay at home while DH works. Some days I'm a whirlwind of activity, running errands, cleaning, and generally nesting. Then some days, like yesterday, I basically lump on the couch watching bad TV and lurking on TB.
I'll tell you what my husband tells me....your job is growing the baby right now. If your body/emotions/whatever feels like having off days, then that's what you should do!
Oh, and going to the pool sounds freaking amazing. I second that advice!

I'm on summer break, too and today is the first day I haven't had some sort of appointment or gone to school to do some more cleaning of my room. I thought it would be so great to have the day to do nothing, and I just feel lazy and dirty (I've been watching movies and eating 8billion snacks all day)...but I figure maybe tomorrow I can do something productive.
I've given myself 4 weeks of leave before baby comes (because I'm legally allowed up to 12 months of maternity leave) but I've made myself a list of chores to do each day...
Just because I could waste the whole day being online doesn't mean I should.
Well, I'm not getting a LOT done but I try to get something done each day. I do feel bum-like some days, though.
I have a mental to-do list and try to pick 1 thing to work on each day. For example, today I packed away some maternity clothes that no longer fit and set aside some other clothes for donation. I still have one more container that is sitting in our bedroom to go through but I'm almost done with that so yay! Going to try to finish up before DH gets home because I know it's driving him nuts though he's too nice to say anything about it.
ETA: If it makes you feel better, I'm not going back to work so I'm now a SAHW/M. I still haven't made it to the grocery store and we've been out for almost 2 weeks now... I'm a SAHW failure!
