NBR: Ant traps = crack for ants

I'm so annoyed, we started gettting ants in our kitchen last week.  I bought some ant traps today and you should see the all the ants going in them.  It is like crack for ants.  I hope it takes care of the problem because I really don't want to have to spend money on at exterminator.

Re: NBR: Ant traps = crack for ants

  • We had a big problem with them this summer and the traps fixed it (spraying did not).

  • If the traps don't work, you could try red pepper. We had ants in our living room, and I sprinkled red pepper along the wall near where they came in. They disappeared in a day and never came back.
  • I keep telling the ants to take the poison to their queen, LOL.   I know ants don't mean I'm dirty, but that is how they make me feel, like my house is dirty.

  • draw chalk lines outside your house they won't go over them. it's like a magical barrier you can put up wherever they are sneaking in.
  • The traps should work. The only problem is it takes a few days for them to start dying. We had mice in our basement last year, they were getting in because it was cold out through a hole the previous owner left. I was grossed out for weeks, so I totally feel your pain. If you can figure out where they're coming in, close up the hole. That seems to have worked for our mice.?
