We need one with a bassinet on it since we are not putting a crib up until we move (probably a month after baby comes). I also like the flip-up changing spot.
I bought a graco one a few months ago on sale at target. Nothing too fancy. The floor of it is adjustable in height and did come with changing table and mobile. I got it for $79, originally $129.00. We have already used it when watching our niece. I am not big on the ones with all the bells and whistles, just because I dont think that I would use any of it.?
If we get one, we're getting the Chicco. Even though its more expensive, DH felt that it was more sturdy. We also liked that it has wheels on the case, making it easier for me to carry, and that the mobile could turn into an activity set, making it one less thing to bring with you. ?
The one I had for DD, who slept in it every night for two years, was the cheapest Graco, like $50 or $60. All the "extra" stuff that comes with the more expensive ones is just more junk to deal with after the first weeks. The one we have has navy blue sides and animal print on the mattress, but since I made nice blankets to go on over the mattress, I never saw the animals. I will be using it again for New Baby and we will skip the crib all together. DD hated her crib and we took it down when she was about 10 months old. She loved the pack n play, it also made it easier for travel, since she always slept in it at home.
I'm getting a Graco one from BRU, I think the pattern is Nouvelle. It was $99. If I wanted to spend almost $200 though I'd get the Graco one in Deco, but to me it wasn't worth the extra money.
Re: pack and plays
