Stupid Question: Hampers & Trash Cans

I don't know why I'm so stuck on deciding on these two things for the nursery.... What are you using as a laundry hamper and trash can for the nursery (bonus for links to what you specifically bought)?

I do not want a Diaper Genie, or other such thing. Just a regular trash can with well fitting lid, I think. We may go to cloth diapers after a few weeks (so if you're CDing, what are you using for those too?), and it's no issue for us to just empty a trash can in the room daily, or whatever, to minimize odors.

whoa, I was literally just looking at the Container Store online for both of these.

No suggestions, I'm to find something at HomeGoods. We have an extra laundry bin in our master closet that we use for drycleaning that I will probably just stick in her closet for a while because I bought the UppaBaby bassinet stand and the laundry hamper insert, so we'll be able to use that in her closet after she outgrows the bassinet.

This. Using Diaper Genie and bought exactly the same hamper yesterday. I had much more expensive one in my registry that would match the bedding and decor, but no one bought it, and I am not spending $50 on hamper...

Can't help with trash can as we have a diaper genie thingy.

Hamper, I am stuck on also. DS had 2 of the mesh ones and they both ripped so I'm trying to figure out something sturdier for both kids. Leaning toward something lame but functional like this https://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=17011390

We got a wood frame one like this for DD. it is 3 years old and still doing great.

We also have this hamper (in sage) and I love how light weight it is. It's very easy to carry up and down stairs.

The first one is alot smaller than I thought it would be and the second one is still on my registry but I'll buy it if no one else does. My DH and I didn't want to do a pail and liner so we'll try having just wet bags and see how it works.

For a hamper I bought a wicker basket from BRU (they are on sale buy one get one 50% off right now--all sizes) for the laundry basket. As far a diapers, this won't help you since you don't want it, but I got the Arm&Hammer diaper pail thing. It got excellent reviews so hopefully it'll work out well.

We are going to try to CD from as soon as possible, so we are using this SimpleHuman slim trashcan for CDs (it's $40 at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and I used a 20% coupon, so like $33). You can lock it if you need to; otherwise, it closes pretty tightly.

We're just using a mesh one I've had since college. Didn't want to buy another since it's still in perfect condition and totally washable. Can't help on a bin though, using diaper genie

I'm CD-ing so I need to get a basic kitchen trash can with lid still but for hamper, right now it's a mesh bag. I had one on my registry at BRU but not going to spend $25 on one when I can find one for less probably elsewhere.
