So we have thrown out the three baby thermometers we had.... none of them seemed to work. You would get a different reading each and every time even if you used them consecutively. We do take our LO's temp in his armpit, not analy. Anyone have a suggestion of either an ear themometer or an armpit one? *knock on wood* LO hasn't had a fever yet, but he was super fussy today so I want to be sure to have one just in case TIA
Re: Thermometer Recommendation
our pedi basically only "accepts" a rectal temp, so we have this one

I have used it twice, and it's super easy and Ada didn't seem bothered by it. It is really fast. She FREAKS the F out when we try to take it under her arm - the first time I took her temp I did the underarm first - our pedi said to do that if it's easier and if that is elevated take a rectal as it is the MOST accurate. her underarm said 102 but her rectal was only 100.1 so it made me feel better...
I just hold her feet and pull her legs up like you do when wiping their bum and have DH talk to her - she doesn't even seem to notice it's happening, it does not go in far. I was really freaked out about this at first!

Ditto. I have this thermometer. I've used it a few times and DD is fine with it. Even now with her being super squirmy.
