In previous posts I heard people talking about breaking out their pregnancy pillow. Is this just a normal body pillow or is it different? Can I get it at Target? I have been having difficulty sleeping, so I thought I would try it.
I used a normal body pillow with DD. But I think there are special kinds and you can get them a maternity stores, that are WAY more comfortable then just a normal body pillow.

I have heard that Target sells them and I plan to go get one in the next couple weeks. I have heard good things about the "Snoogle".

There are special pregnancy pillows. I use 2 body pillows bc the pregnancy pillows can be pretty expensive. I think that 1 pill in front and 1 tucked up to my back works just fine.
TTC since 11/2009; Lap/HSG/Hysteroscopy: 5/2011 (endometriosis - removed; endocervical polyp - removed; high pressure in bilateral tubes - cleared)
BFP #1: 8/4/11; DS1 born sleeping on 11/16/11 at 19w1d
Pregnancy pillows are so expensive! I opted for a cheapy body pillow from Target...but just a warning, we have a queen bed and I find the body pillow takes up to much room. I have stopped using it because of this but plan on keeping it for just in case I really need it. For the time being I've been using a small throw pillow which doesn't take up as much space in bed.

I got mine from Amazon. It takes up a lot of the bed, but oh man! it is so comfortable. I tried just using pillows, but found it so hard to roll over during the night that it made it worth the money to me to get a pregnancy pillow. This is the one that I got Leachco Back 'N' Body

This around $10 each from walmart. Years of happiness!
I'm recommending the Snoogle as well. I used it for my 1st pregnancy and will be again this time around. The only regret I had with that pillow is that I didn't buy it sooner!
I just use a body pillow that I think we got from Bed Bath and Beyond and it works great. I've never used a special pregnancy pillow so maybe I just don't know what I'm missing, but my $10 body pillow gets the job done fine. It's so comfy to tuck between your legs and help support your belly. I used it the other night, mostly for snuggling purposes, just because my tummy was hurting from stretching.
But be warned, it is totally like having another person in the bed. Hubs isn't fond of it, but it's worth it
I got a Boppy (the smaller sized one) & hated it. It wasn't long enough to hold onto so it awkwardly hit just below my boobs. The big Boppy looks ridiculously long with a head pillow and everything so I'm still in the process of finding another one.
I hated the Snoogle. Returned it and bought a LeachCo Back and Body pillow from Amazon. It's amazing! I have a back injury from a few years ago, so I was really concerned with proper support. DH hates it b/c it takes up the entire bed, but it makes me sleep so well!
