July 2012 Moms

This whole "baby" thing...

is starting to seem very real, and make this FTM nervous!!! :) Seeing all of the posts about some ladies being full-term and having C-sections scheduled for next week already is making me realize that I don't have too much longer either!

It's pretty crazy! I do have to remind myself that a lot of the ladies on here are a good three weeks ahead of me. Us 34 weekers still have some time! (hopefully)

I try to make myself believe I have so much more time since I am only at 33 weeks right now.  I really need to start preparing though!

  • I know. All this talk about dialating and scheduled c sections and contractions - It's starting to freak me out. My DH said to me last night, "We're going to be a mom and dad!" in disbelief. I said, "I know! We're going to have a baby and they are going to expect us to take her home!"

Yeah kinda starting to freak out and wish I had more time like some of you ladies. I've not "nested" at all and my house is a freakin disaster. Her clothes are all over the crib, nothing is put together, and dishes are piled so high I can't see my counter tops. Gah! I'm to the point of desperation where I'm considering digging up pictures in which to bribe someone to come clean my house >.< "You remember spring break 2004? Yeah.. yeah. Come on over and we can make this all go away."

Haha, we had this discussion to the other night...along with the "They are going to let us take him home and be responsible for him for at least the next 18 years!"...

  • Even though we are pretty broke right now I've made a deal with DH to have someone come in and clean the condo from top to bottom when I am in the hospital. Even if I had incriminating pictures, I'm sure I'd have no idea where they were! My IL's neighbor runs a cleaning business so we should be able to get someone on short notice. I just can't handle bringing the baby home to a messy house. Other than that, I think it's time I shifted from logistical prep to focusing on becoming a mother.

  • Yeah it is pretty unbelievable. I feel like I still have a long ways to go with a        July 30th due date, but all these babies and due dates approaching definitely make it seem real!

  • I'm full-term today and I'm still in denial that this baby is coming any day now! EEK.

  • I agree...especially since my best friend had her baby a week ago! Our due dates were only three weeks apart! GAH! (If everything goes as planned our babies will be a month apart...she had a scheduled c/s a week before her due date.) That aspect is making it really, really real for DH and I. I am so glad I've been a part of this board for the past few months. I'm still nervous, but considerably more prepared than I would have been!
  • With 2 other cousins, we are in a cycle. One was due in May, June, and me in July. Well the May baby is born, the June baby was born Monday. Now I'm next! Yeah I can't believe my day, whenever it really is, is just around the corner!!!!
