Hi! I've been looking into the bump for sometime now and finally decided to join in

I'm fairly new to BWing, having only tried a Moby and a Bjorn. I got a Maya not too long ago and so far it's worked great for us but I'd like to try out wraps now. I've heard a lot about Didy, Gira, Storch and Vat - but other than the pretty colors I have no idea which "is best". I have a 24lb 15 month old and a little one due soon, if that matters/helps with which one would suit best.
I had also heard that Didys were good for newbies and that longer sizes were best, so I somewhat blindly purchased one without thinking (and asking here first, obviously). I now have a basically brand new size 7 that is too much for me

Anyone know where I can find a new home for it so that I can get a more appropriate one?
Re: New to BWing
I love lots of different wraps for different reasons, and a lot of it is personal preference.
Anything that works for your toddler will also work for you newborn, but some wraps that work for a newborn aren't always supportive/comfy enough for a toddler.
I love giras, and think hoppediz are underrated. Wraps with linen in them are generally very supportive. Vatanais I find less supportive (although they have brought out a range of thicker wraps which I have no idea how they feel to wrap with)
If you have the funds to buy more than one wrap. I would consider buying a shorter wrap (a size 4 depending on your build) to do rucks carries. These are really good quick carry when you have a toddler who wants to be up and down a lot.
And a longer wrap (a size 6, again depending on your build) that will allow you to do front wrap cross carries and a double hammock. two very useful carries for newborns and then the DH is good for older babes and toddlers.
thebabywearer.com has FSOT and ISO boards so you could list your wrap on FSOT and put out an ISO for a "toddler" worthy wrap. Putting out an ISO should see you get a few offers, and will help you start learning some different options.
Also buying and selling on TBW is a good way to try out different wraps. Lots of people get bored with what they have and keep trying out different things. Also people do temporary trades as well, which is a good way to try things out.
Another thing to consider is your climate. The thickness of some wraps will work better in a very hot climate etc.
Finally see if there's a babywearing group near you that would allow you to try some things out.
Good luck.
