1. Disney World

2. I can do the beach for a while, but then I get bored. I'm more of a Disney World kind of person.

3. Ice cream. Jeni's ice cream, to be exact.

4. Summer Sandy and homemade sangria.

5. I've been longing for a Disney vacation big time (see a theme here?). We went right before I got pregnant, so almost two years ago. We're hoping to go next summer.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. We went to Edisto Beach in South Carolina most summers with my whole family. So much fun hanging out with cousins! I have lots of great memories from those trips!

2. Are you a beach, mountain, or hang out at the pool type person? I like them all, but for a relaxing vacation I like to sit on the beach, and for an adventurous vacation I love the mountains!

3. What's your favorite summer food? Homegrown tomatoes. Doesn't get any better.

4. Favorite summer drink? Mojitos!!!!

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!!

When we lived in Australia, the only place we didn't get to go that I really wanted to see was the Great Barrier Reef

1996 - The Carnival Destiny - My first cruise ever and I have been HOOKED since!

2. Are you a beach, mountain, or hang out at the pool type person?

Neither of those. I am a city tour person. Go to other countries and tour the city and sights.

Jello Pretzel Salad - Don't judge until you try it!

Lemonade!

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child.

We didn't take great vacations as a child My parents didn't like to fly, and dad gets insanely carsick if he's not the one driving, so everywhere was close(r) driving distance. Plus, dad grew up in Iowa and had family there, so a lot of road trips to Iowa (no offense to anyone in Iowa... just not a top-vacay desitination!). I guess our best was Colorado! But, I love everything about Colorado (despite not being able to Ski!)

2. Are you a beach, mountain, or hang out at the pool type person?

- Um, all of the above?! There is definitely something about each of those I love. But, the one I'm "least" is beach. I love the beach, but I don't like seaweed getting near me, so I don't go in the ocean.

3. What's your favorite summer food?

- I don't discriminate foods, lol! I'll eat a big bowl of chili in Summer, and a big bowl of Ice Cream in winter! But, when it comes to seasonal flavors, I love lemon flavors in the summer. Lemon pasta is one of my fave go-to meals when I just need to make something for me. Boil a small amount of whatever pasta I have on hand, make a quick lemon, parm, EVOO sauce and I'm good to go!

4. Favorite summer drink?

- I love summer beers. Current fave - Shock Top Lemon Shandy! And homemade wine coolers (Peach especially!).

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!!

If I had several weeks to vacay, I'd do Italy. All of it! If I had a month I'd do Italy and a few other places in Europe (London, Ireland, Paris, Greece (Santorini please!!), Portugal.)

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. My favorite vacation was going to Disney World with my parents and 2 sisters when I was 7. Its the last vacation we took as a family before they divorced, and it was such a carefree, happy time. I remember wearing really tall shoes so I could get onto the splash mountain ride, and being amazed at the Swiss family robinson tree house. My little sister was obsessed with Its a Small World ride. And we went to the beach, it was pretty great.2. Are you a beach, mountain, or hang out at the pool type person? All of the above! If I had to choose one, I would say beach. But I just love being outside.3. What's your favorite summer food? Hmm do snowballs and ice cream count? I've also been eating a ton of fruit lately- peaches, blueberries, strawberries...4. Favorite summer drink? Iced tea and lemonade mixed together. 5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!! I would go see my mom and my kid brother and sister in Washington state. I want to go see them so bad since they haven't seen Clara since she was 2 months old

But I am terrified of doing the 16 hour journey (door to door it literally takes 16 hours - ugh) by myself with a hyper little crazy one who gets airsick. I miss them so much though!

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child.

Every summer we would visit my aunt and cousins in Mexico. Those were my favorite vacations, we would take a 5 hour drive into Mexico and we got to spend time with our cousins

Depending on the day I think I could be different types of people, but definitely a city girl at heart.

3. What's your favorite summer food?

I love any bbq foods: hot dogs, burgers, potato/macaroni salad. Yum

Lemonade.

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!!

Europe. I've been to London and Paris but would love to go to Italy or Greece, somewhere in the south.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. No certain vacation comes to mind, but we camped a lot and I LOVED it.

2. Are you a beach, mountain, city, cruise, amusement park, or hang out at the pool type person? Hmm, probably none of those haha but if I had to pick, I'd say amusement park or beach.

3. What's your favorite summer food? Grilled anything! Chicken, steak, burgers, veggies, salmon, and corn on the cob.

4. Favorite summer drink? A good margarita on the rocks at a Mexican restaurant (along with some chips and salsa of course!)

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!! Hawaii or on a cruise

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. My dad HATES flying so we always did road trips and camping. Once my uncle and cousin were driving back to IA from CA about 2 weeks before my parents were going to do the same drive so I got to drive with my uncle and cousin and then my parents came later.

2. Are you a beach, mountain, city, cruise, amusement park, or hang out at the pool type person? Being a So Cal girl sand and ocean water run in my veins but I also love me some mountains. Amusement parks are awesome also (we are going to one for Fathers Day even)

We spent a whole month in Florida with my grandparents when we were little. My parents went down with us for a long weekend, left us for a week and half, came back down to vacation for a week, and left us for another week and a half. We flew back on our own. (My sister and I). It was a ton of fun because my grandma made it like an adventure everyday, and they were just across the road from the beach, had a pool, and an awesome park right down the bike path. They bought us bikes and we had a blast!

2. Are you a beach, mountain, city, cruise, amusement park, or hang out at the pool type person?

I am a beach/mountain person, but enjoy hanging at the pool as well. We have a camp on a lake in the Adirondacks, and spend a lot of time there in the summer. It is rustic (no running water other than a flushing toilet that flushes with a bucket of lake water), but lying on the dock and swimming in the lake while looking at the mountains makes for a great day!

3. What's your favorite summer food?

This is tough...I love grilled hot dogs, clams, and soft serve ice cream, but I think the best thing about summer is the fresh berries!

4. Favorite summer drink?

Frozen lemonade or iced coffee.

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!!

Grand Teton National Park! DH and I went here on one of our cross country road trips and I want to go back sometime soon!

1) hmm... we took a lot of great trips. I would have to say that my fondest memories are the boating trips we took when I was in my teens.

2) SS- Lake. My family loves boating sports: skiing, tubing, kneeboarding, etc.

3) I love making Capellini Pomodoro. It's a great way to use up all those homegrown summer tomatoes!

4) That's a toughie! When I think Strawberry Daiquiri, I definitely think summer

5) Italy. It's number one on my bucket list!

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. We went to San Francisco when I was 10. It was my first plane ride and first real trip anywhere not a few hour drive away. I loved it!

2. Are you a beach, mountain, city, cruise, amusement park, or hang out at the pool type person? A little of all of the above. I've been loving the pool this summer though.

3. What's your favorite summer food? Ice cream. And summer fruits.

4. Favorite summer drink? Passion tea lemonade. Yum.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. We go to the beach in Maine every year from when my dad was a baby until now as a whole family. I loved it as a kid and I love it now with my kids.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. My favorite childhood vacation would have to be backpacking the Pennsylvania Mid-state trail when I was younger with my whole family. It was a family tradition to do around 20 miles over the 4th of July weekend up until I was 16 (started when I was 8). It was so much fun and we kept a journal that holds so many awesome memories.

4. Favorite summer drink? Homemade Ice tea that my grandma us to make.

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!! I would want to go back to visit Japan again. Maybe hike up Mt. Fuji!

I've been on that bullet train back in 2007.

When we were kids we did "family camping." It was about 8 families and we would all go to this local campsite for a long weekend. We always had such a great time with everyone.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. I didn't have an actual 'vacation' somewhere. At least not how I would define a vacation. I spent summers with my grandmother at her cottage...but I think that was partly to keep my younger brother and I separate as we fought horrible.

1. Camping at Big Bear Mountain in CA with my family when I was a kid. It was one of the only vacations I can remember going on with my parents before they divorced.

2. Definitely a mountain person. We live in FL and have had more than our fair share of the beach. I have always dreamed of living in the mountains b/c I LOVE hiking and watching wildlife. DH has been applying for jobs in CO for the past few months; hoping something will work out soon!!!!

3. I always look forward to making a 4th of July flag cake with pound cake, cool whip, strawberries, and blueberries.

5. I would like to take a road trip in an RV to all of the national parks in the U.S.

1. Tell us about your favorite vacation as a child. Disney World with my mom and brother. I fell in love with manatees on that trip!

2. Are you a beach, mountain, city, cruise, amusement park, or hang out at the pool type person? Yes. All of these.

3. What's your favorite summer food? Corn on the cob!!! (covered in butter and salt of course)

4. Favorite summer drink? The same drink as spring, fall, and winter: water. (yeah, I'm super exciting...)

5. If you could go on a vacation anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Bonus points for PIP!! I've been to some pretty amazing places (Croatia, Trinidad, Germany, Italy, Slovenia) but if I could visit anywhere, I'd want to go back to Trinidad. I originally went with my college Concert Choir and we sang in the schools on the island. We visited the beaches and a monastery and stayed with American host families. It was an amazing trip!!
