Mercy Anderson Natural Childbirth

Hi there, I'm pregnant with my second. The L&D of my first went just fine but I was in Canada =P. I've recently been looking into natural childbirth with my second and I'm hoping to find a midwife or douala; someone to support me with that drug-free decision while in labour. My current OB/GYN group is in Mt. Orab and they exclusively deliver at Mercy Anderson but they have no midwives. And while that's an hour drive for me I hear the hospital is good.  Any advice? Anyone know of any midwives or douala in Highland or Brown County (first options),  Adams or Clinton County and finally Clermont?

Re: Mercy Anderson Natural Childbirth

  • My practice had multiple midwives and they too deliver at Anderson. The office is directly across the street from the hospital. It's Seven hills womans health. I see the doctors, but know many who see the midwives and are very happy. It's a drive, but may be worth it. Clermont Mercy doesn't have L&D.

  • I didn't have a natural delivery but I am also with Womens Health Center and delivered at Anderson Mercy.  It's about 45 minutes from my house to the hospital. I love the practice and love the hospital.  It was a great experience.

  • Maybe if you can't change practices you can go with a doula to help support you. I just saw in another post about the doulas meeting tomorrow at a local shop in Montgomery. That would be a great place to network and ask lots of questions.Smile

  • I go to Seven Hills Women's Health Center and see the midwives. They are great! I am planning on having a natural birthing experience and they back me up 100%! If you are looking for a doula, I am using Eileen Ryan. She is a little pricey but is one of the best in the greater Cincinnati area. I do have a friend that is a doula that I would have used but she is due with her baby boy just weeks before my due date. She is much more reasonably priced.

Here is a great site to find a local doula: https://www.cincinnatidoulas.org/

Good luck. PM me if you ever want to chat. I am in Batavia... not far from Mt. Orab at all.

  • I also go to Seven Hills women's center in Anderson township. I couldn't be more happy with the level of care and information I receive there. They deliver at Mercy Anderson and have midwives on staff. The wonderful aspect of this practice is that they go with YOUR plan (within reason of course). I love them!
  • Anyone delivered at Anderson Mercy and know if they have portable telemetry so you can walk during labor?
