If one more person... (vent!)

If one more person tells me that I better hurry up and get this baby born, I think I will scream! Yes, he is big. Yes, the dr had my hopes up that I would go into labor about 3 weeks ago. Yes, I am ready for him to be here. Yes, I am walking and doing whatever I can to stay healthy and active. Even my dear sweet Grandmother-in-Law told me to hurry so that DH could be a daddy by Father's Day. Yeah, I'm working on that Mamaw. Let me just uncross my legs and take the cork out so he comes a little faster. ARGH!

  • people are stupid. What do they expect you to do? Reach in there and pull the baby out?

  • So sorry!  I get asked the same thing.  "When's the baby coming?  Just checking in to see if there is any news?  I'm getting anxious to know when it will be here!"

Trust me no one is wondering that more then me who's overdue!  Everytime someone asks me that I move then down a spot on my call list for after LO arrives.

  • LoL I could not agree with you all more. I have been feeling down about having no progress and about LO being late. The phone calls just make it worse.
  • I've actually started shutting my phone off.  People are really ruining my last few days of pregnancy.  Grrr.

  • Yes I am getting these daily now, too. I get that people care and all but there really isn't anything I can do but let nature take it's course!  And I don't really feel comfortable giving people an update every time I have a cramp or diarrhea...doesn't necessesarily mean baby is coming!

  • I also love that every time I call my parents, my dad answers with, "is it time?"

I am right there with you!  My sister woke me up the other morning with a text if anything had changed (I had been having irregular contractions).  And I called my mom just to talk and she started hounding me on how I felt.  I flat out told her if she didn't quit, I wouldn't call her at all.

As PP have said, I'm definitely getting impatient.  I'm not as far along as some as you ladies, but I guess everyone hopes at this point LO would arrive a little early.

  • If I don't text my one friend back immediately (since I'm off work I have all the time in the world to answer texts right away), she texts back "omg, are you in labour?"

My mom texts me every Tuesday (when I have my OB appointments) to ask if there's any change. I tell her no every single time. I will not give anyone close to us the satisfaction of knowing the latest update because when I do, all I hear back is what day they just know I'll have the baby on, how my doctor is wrong, what I should do to induce labour, etc.

The funny thing is that the only people I talk freely to about my OB appointments and progress are DH's employees. Ha! Of course they care, but none of them have any vested interest in when I'll actually have the baby. They're just a bunch of middle aged women who like when I visit the office. I get to share all of the details and I don't get anything other than "well you still look great!" Not even any "he'll come when he's ready" bull. I love it!

  • I am right there with you ladies... I know people are excited and anxious... but really imagine how we feel! The constant "Is he here yet? Hurry up and have him already!" Is totally getting on my nerves. As if I am not already absolutely ready to just 'hurry up and have him'. Trust me, if I could look down and say "Okay baby boy, today is the day!" and he listen, I totally would!
