I started my period sunday the 10th yesterday. I bought a basal thermometer today. Any advice/tips appreciated!!
My Ovulation Chart
early m/c 09/05, early m/c 02/08,and missed m/c 04/12 at 16 weeks
**I was Diagnosed with Factor V Leiden & Heterozygous Mthfr 02/08
I was put on Lovenox while pregnant with my daughter and will also be for my next pregnancy
I'm with the others - I recommend you head over to the "Trying to Get Pregnant" board, read their newbie link, lurk for a week or two, and then introduce yourself. Pick up a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility," as it gives you some great information on how your cycles work.
ETA: I temp orally and it works fine. If your temps are erratic orally, then you can always switch to vaginal temping. And you can start temping at any point in your cycle, but if you start after you ovulate, you won't see the temp shift that month (shouldn't be a problem since you have your period now). Also, I forgot to also suggest signing up for Fertility Friend (you can click on the link in my siggy to get there) and watching the tutorials. It's a great, free tool that's really easy to use.
BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
BFP2: 3/18/12, blighted ovum, natural m/c @ 7w4d BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence
I temped orally and did fine. I just kept my thermometer under my pillow so I didn't have to move in the morning. Remember to temp even if you're on your period.
I would suggest heading over to the TTGP board - I'm sure there are a ton of wonderful women there to help you.

Yes yes yes! Read this book! It's the best book I ever read about my health, I wished I had read it in high school and I have given copies to several friends as they are approaching their weddings. If you want to get pregnant, at any point in your life, (or if you have ovaries, for that matter) I would recommend this book.
GL, hope the process of ttc is nice and fast for you!
