this may sound stupid but...

Hi ladies, today since about noon I started getting some period like cramps. Its more like a constant pain and its hasn't gone away and are getting more painful especially when walking. I don't really feel any tightening or anything just this constant horrible pain. I'm 39 weeks today and have been loosing bits of my plug for a few weeks now but I haven't had any show or anything. Just wondering if you think it could be BH or not. This is my first pregnancy so I dunno what to expect for contractions.. Thanks ladies!! :)

    I have been having that off and on since Friday, although I would not call it horriable more like the way I feel when my period is coming.  Went today for my weekly 50 percent effaced and 2 cen.  Really hoping to go into labor before Thursday or else the child will be forced out.

    I've been having period like cramps on and off for about 4-5 weeks.  It could be BH, which would be helping you make some progress.  Or it could be irritable uterus, which would be nothing.  For me, it's the second , pain for absolutely no reason.

    I felt period-like cramps off and on for a few days before labor. I think it's a good sign!

    I've been having cramps since Saturday, and I feel your pain. I was so hopeful when I went to the dr today, but I am still not even at 2 cm. The weird part is that I am almost always either cramping down low (like AF cramps) or having a sharper pain up near my ribs (which I think may be LO doing his best to make more room for his legs). Finding a comfy position is like looking for a needle in a haystack in a blizzard with my hands tied behind my back. (Hmm...I think I might be a little pessimistic today.)
