  Tessa!  I wanted to name my DD this when I saw her, but DH insisted we stick with Violet.

  Also like Scarlett, but was afraid friends we shorten to "Scar"

  As of recently I really like the name Tessa. I like it as a name on it's own and I like it as a nickname for Teresa. (My aunt uses it)

  Scarlett is a name I only like in a book or on a tv/movie character.

  I prefer Scarlett. Incidentally, there's a frequent poster on TB whose DDs are named Tess and Scarlett!

  I prefer Scarlett but do like Tess or Tessa as a NN for Teresa. I'm not sure I like Tessa for a formal name...

  I'm not much help because I really like both of these names.  If I had to choose, I would choose Scarlett.  Also, I wouldn't mind the nn Scar.

  I adore Tessa! Its cute and simple and as she grows into a woman it can be shortend to Tess. It was on my list, but hubby doesnt like it at all.

  I love Scarlett its a classic and elegant name.

  I prefer Tessa because Ive heard Scarlett a lot lately.

  I was such a GWTW fan when I was younger, I can't get past Scarlett OHara.  I don't think anyone would want that life for their daughter.
