Get to hear the heartbeat today!!

Today is my first appointment for this pregnancy & although I am so excited to listen to the heartbeat, this will be my first time not having my husband home to come with me. With our three other babies he was able to come & listen as well. It has me all emotional. I feel it's much a loss for him as it is for me, perhaps I'm being a bit melodramatic, but it is what it is...

    I'm going to be a bit jealous... it's your first appt, and you get to hear the HB? I didn't get to hear it until my second trimester. I DID get an u/s at my first appt, so I could see it though.

    DH will have more opportunities to hear the HB. Is is possible to buy or renty a dopplar for home use in your area? I know many a worried mommy that got one (My DH forbid it thinking I'd become obsessed, or never use it at all)

    They did a VUS, so I was able to hear the heart beat & actually got a pretty good profile picture as well... feeling better today!!

    I'm hoping my next appointment if I ask real nice they can let DH listen then... ;)
