I know this has been done before, but I looked back the past several pages and couldn't find it. Because of the "What were you doing when you got THE CALL?" post, I was wondering what everyone's wait time was.
1. How long did you wait for a match?
2. How long after the call did you bring baby home?
3. Did you have any failed matches?
Re: Poll: How long did you wait?
1. 3 months from when our profile went active, 10 months from when we submitted our app
2. The next day. She was already born when we got The Call
3. Nope
1. How long did you wait for a match?
We waited 14 months from the time we were officially approved and waiting until we were placed with our DD. Adding in paperwork, we waited about 18 months.
2. How long after the call did you bring baby home?
With our DD, we found out about her at 5pm on Monday (and met her then too) and brought her home at 11 am on Tuesday!
3. Did you have any failed matches?
Yes, we had 4 failed matches before we were placed with our DD.
1. Only about a month from when our profile actually went active, but we started the adoption process in November and were matched at the end of February.
2. End of February matched, home in early May.
3. Not exactly. We had a situation with a friend of a friend that ended up being VERY complicated and not our baby.
We waited just over 3 weeks from when our profile was active until we got the call. About 3 months from when we first applied.
We are still waiting but if baby is born on due date it will have been 2 1/2 months from when we got the call.
None so far and praying the answer to this will remain 0 failed matches!

2. Matched in February, baby born at the end of May.
3. No
1. 2.5 months after went active with National Agency; 9 months since submitted initial application to local agency.
2. Depends on what you mean by home ;-), our child was born 12 days after the "call". We had an extremely long ICPC process/travel.
3. We had a failed almost match, it wasn't official but we had been chosen by an EM and were setting up a phone call to talk when she lost touch with agency so we guess she changed her mind about making an adoption plan.

1) About 4 weeks of going active we matched.
2)We brought DD home 8 weeks later:)
3) No failed matches
DD#1 - matched at 10 months, born at 12 months, home with us at 13 months (had to spend one month in transitional care)
DD#2 - Waited 20 months; matched when she was almost 48 hours old. Home with us when she was 72 hours old
Failded match - sort of. Received a call at 6 pm that a baby had been born that morning and the parents chose us. We were to talk to the birth parents the next day, meet them the following day and bring the baby home after the meeting. About an hour before the call, we were told the birth father was reconsidering. They talked about it for 48 hours and finally decided to parent. Turns out we got the call about DD#2 10 days later!
1. Waited 6 months
2. About 2 1/2 months
3. No failed matches.
1. How long did you wait for a match? Our homestudy was completed in February '12, and our website went live in April. I am being cautiously optimistic, but we did just get a call today. BM is 13 weeks pregnant.
2. How long after the call did you bring baby home? If this works out, still another 6 months to go.
3. Did you have any failed matches? We have had a couple of other contacts with BMs, but not sure they were all real, so not really matched but some back and forth contact.
I know this has been done before, but I looked back the past several pages and couldn't find it. Because of the "What were you doing when you got THE CALL?" post, I was wondering what everyone's wait time was.

So funny - DD was born Feb 8 (but of 2011), we got the call on Jan 12th and met BM and officially matched on Jan 14th
