Doc appoitment

i will be having my first cervix check on thrusday and i'm praying that i will have some sort of progress. I told my husband that if i go in there and he tells me i'm not anything i will cry. Tongue Tied. i'll be 3 days shy of 39 weeks at that point. any one have that happen to them?

    I had no progress at my 39 week check and I did cry, real tears, in the office, which was totes embarrassing.  Just try to hope for the best and have faith that your body will do what it is meant to do... eventually.  

    So frustrating!  Godo luck tomorrow!

    Unfortunately yes... I learned this the hard way, FTM here. I don't know why but I let them do the cervical checks at 37 and 38 weeks, both of which were amazingly disappointing.  One nurse couldn't even reach my cervix to check if I was dilated! I go in again Tuesday and I hope that they can give me some good news! Don't worry if they don't tell you anything exciting...remember things can change over night or in a few hours!

    This is exactly why I didn't want to know any earlier than 39 and a few days, and even then I had to struggle and my curiosity got the best of me.  One, because it really means nothing and two, I didn't want my hopes to be up or down based on what was said.  So I just took it for what it was worth; it was SOMEthing, meaning if I had to be induced, at least I wasn't completely closed.  But I'm glad I didn't do it any earlier than past 39 weeks.
