Anyone "put their legs up" when TTC?

Ok so my pregnancy was planned & I did listen to people when they say put your legs up for 15-30 after sex. Well, the girl @ work says that means I am having a boy because I did that, now I am ok with that if that is a case but I am sure thats a farce just like all the other tails. I guess because she put her legs up & had 2 boys that means its the golden rule. Anyway, did any of you do things like that & are having a girl? I know this is silly..

what exactly is the logic behind that one? I've heard the Ys are faster swimmers, but the X are more long lived... so really wouldn't the gravity idea help the Xs out more than the Ys?

This is definitely an OWT and for what it's worth, I did elevate my pelvis and we are having a little girl!

I've never heard that one before. LOL I am sure it's an old wives tale. However, I will admit to putting my legs up after sex one time...and that was the time that we conceived, I am sure of it!

Don't know yet if I am having a boy or a girl...find out on Monday.

Seriously? No, it doesn't matter. I did it with Kate, she is obviously a girl. I didn't with this pg and it is a boy. The timing in relation to ovulation can tilt the odds one way or the other (boy = sex closer to ovulation day, girl = sex further away from ovulation day) but putting your legs up or not has nothing to do with it.

Maybe you'd ask your DH's sperm what it decided for you to have. Old waves tales are the most ridiculus thing ever. I should have a boy according to all of them. uh..

I'll play along w/ this one .. heehee....

DC#1=missionary and elevated pelvis = girl.

DC#2=doggie and immediatly stood up = boy.

If anything I heard that timing around ovulation and PH levels are more important than position for swaying gender.

elevated pelvis after and am having a girl. If anything, gender has more to do with timing of sex with ovulation than whether or not you elevate your legs.

I did probably (I don't know exactly when I conceived) for #1 & #2 but not for #3. I had girls for 1 & 2...we shall see for #3.

FWIW, I've seen waaaaaay dumber posts on this board. But, I "put my legs up" and we had a girl. It's definitely an OWT. But by no means dumber than the majority of the OWT I've heard on this board...

i think though that "boy" sperm are actually faster than "girl" sperm since they have more testosterone in them. so maybe putting your legs us helps them? but you would have to put your torso up to make sure that you gave it enough of an upper hand.

I did not have to put my legs up - I did however have to open them. :snicker:
