My VBAC birth story (LIP)

I just posted the long version of my birth story here: https://prettycitythings.blogspot.com/2012/06/my-vbac-birth-story.html

To summarize... I was induced 6 days after my due date because my waters tore but sealed up again. I was already 5 cms dilated, which is why they let me be induced rather than just doing another c-section. I labored for 5 hours, pushed for an hour and a half, and DD was born weighing 10lbs 1oz. She was a chunker!

I tore really badly but recovery has been so much better than with my c-section, and the whole experience was very emotionally healing for me. GL to anyone else trying!

Re: My VBAC birth story (LIP)

  • Congrats.  As a VBACer staring down a probable induction with a larger baby, I love the positive stories.  Thanks

  • Thanks for sharing and congratulations!  Sorry you had to deal with such jerky anesthesiologists.  Seems like they always use the emergency c/s with general anesthesia threat to try to convince you to do the epidural.  When in a true emergency, they are going to do general whether you had an epi or not.  anyway, great story!
