Hey everyone!!

I wanted to post a quick birth story.. since I know how much help everyone's was to me!

Addie Mae was due June 11th - I had her June 8th at 9:44pm!

I was 3cm on the prior Monday and told baby was super low and almost fully thinned..

Friday I woke up with a little back pain - some cramps, but not contractions that made me in pain. Very uncomfortable by 11a.. decided to go walk around TJ Maxx, etc.. at 1:30 I decided to take 2 tbs of Castor Oil with a Naked Juice.. I had been reading up on doing it and figured.. whats the worst that can happen? I didn't eat much that day so I wasn't worried about being sick.

I didn't taste a SINGLE thing - never once cramped or had bad stomach pains.. or a BM!

at 4:45p I had the start of a bloody show (tons of pink in my pee).. freaked. Called the doctor.. she said all was normal and I was in early labor. Still not having contractions or any pain! Not 5 mins later my water broke. I was walking and just started leaking! Called the doctor - she said yes, you are in labor! Come in now, or you have up to 3 hours if you can stand it.

I decided I was feeling ok so we got packed, I bathed.. then we took the dog to the kennel.. by 6:20 I was starting to have contractions that were painful. We went to Jersey Mikes for a sandwich and at 6:45 I decided we better hurry to the hospital.. my contractions were painful and 2 mins 30 seconds apart.. lasting about 45 seconds each. Got to hospital.. finally in a prep room at 7:15p.. DYING IN PAIN by this point. Was told I was still only 3cm. Took them 1 hour to get me into a Labor & Delivery Room - I'm now really really hurting and contractions are still super close!

They had to do blood work before I could get an Epidural.. by 8:00 that gets started, everything seems to take FOREVER... all while I am in major pain. they didn't wait for the lab results and finally had me prepped for my Epidural at 8:30. It was A BREEZE. Not one second of pain!

They told us we likely had another 7-8 hours of labor.. then she checked me again! NOPE! She said you are 10 cm and its time to push! She hurried and called my doctor who came in just for us on her night off!!

She was there within 15-20 mins.. finally my Epidural kicked in and I was feeling MUCH better.

I started pushing around 9ish - didn't feel a single thing.. but I did use the mirror to see her coming out - which I would have NEVER thought I would want! But, something about seeing how close she was helped me push!!

I loved my nurse by the way - she was amazing!! So was hubs too

Started pushing around 9ish ... I pushed 6 sets of 3 counts to 10.. and had our baby girl at 9:44pm!

I did have a small tear - a few stitches.. didn't feel a thing! I've since been doing ok! That night I was up and moving around and have been since! I am not a rester or relaxer! I'm super busy bee and this hasn't slowed me down a second. Now taking pain meds to prevent the pain from coming on.. and doing well!

Baby girl is amazing! I've never known such love! We are all home and figuring things out! SUPER SCARY having such a fragile baby!

She choked on some left over fluid right before we checked out and it was the worst 10 mins of my life. Nurses running everywhere - I thought she was having a seizure. Y'all, I lost it. Thankfully it happened at the hospital and not home so they could show me what to do - vs me freaking out like I did. She just needed vigorous patting upside down until the liquid passed or she took air - and I used the little suction. Who would have known that?! Anyway, now dad and I are super worried and watching her at all times. This little life is so so so special and can't help herself

Good luck mama's! You'll never know a greater love. ps. the Castor Oil did NOT make me go on the table! All was clean! I actually haven't gone yet - and I had her Friday!
