Ibuprofen stopped working

DS has been getting his top 4 teeth in for a couple weeks now and it's getting to the point where he is up all night even with ibprofen. My pedi told me after a week or so of giving it, the ibprofen starts to stop working and i should switch to tylenol. I had no idea. Just wanted to throw this out there to anyone else who is in the midst of teething hell like me!!!

    Poor thing.  :( 

    We switch between the two...if he needs it more than once in a night, it's one dose of ibuprofen, then one dose of tylenol a few hours later.

    Orajel.  It's the only thing that works at this point.  Damn you top teeth!

    This happened to us but with tylenol. We then tried ibuprofen but that caused some bad constipation. I've had several mom's rec. baby advil. We don't use meds too much but seems not much works.

    Tell me about it! These top 4 are beastly! It feels like it's been forever. It has taken literally 2 months of her moaning and whining and the first one finally broke through. AHH! Poor babies.
