Trying to Get Pregnant

FF is so confusing

Is there someone who can show me how to make Fertility Friend easier to understand? Its like a foreign language to me and I can't ask H cause he's as clueless as I am....

  • Have you taken the tutorials?  They are extremely helpful and easy to understand.

I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and watched the tutorials on FF. The tutorials were great. I agree with PP, they were easy to understand.

EDIT Maybe reading the book as well would help, if you haven't already. Also there are little games they have to help you read charts.

I actually don't think this is very helpful  when you're still trying to understand what a temp shift looks like.

OP, if that's even what you're trying to figure out, I would suggest lurking on here to find girls who are already in the 2ww. They have CHs so the temp shift is already pointed out for you. This may help you better interpret your own charts and figuring out O dates.

    bfp 1 - m/c 1.31.11 @ 10 weeks

    bfp 2 - baby born via c-section on 5.4.12 @ 37 weeks

    bfp 3 - blighted ovum/d&c on 4.13.13 @ 8 weeks

bfp 4 - 3rd IUI, very late BFN with super low P, c/p

bfp 5 - natural bfp while on lupron, baby born via RCS on 4.27.15 @ 39 weeks

bfp 6 - surprise! baby born via RCS on 11.13.16 @ 38 weeks

  • In the beginning I was confused too. What helped me was looking at other people's charts. That helped me understand the temp shift. Keep with it--it will click!

  • I was very confused when I started too. Just click on other peoples FF link and you will see. I found it helpful to look at those people who were dpo so I could see the rise and where crosshairs were put.

  • I think a common newbie mistake is to pay attention to each individual temp, and not the overall pattern of the chart.  Keep in mind that one day's temp doesn't make a whole lot of difference in the scheme of things, but how the temps all work together over the course of the cycle.

I totally agree with looking at other people's charts and taking the tutorials on FF. They are very helpful.

Otherwise, if there are any specific questions we can answer, feel free to ask. Wink

Those are specifically what helped me figure it all out. Seeing chart after chart and determining when the shift was and if ovulation had occured, eventually I could tell. So, it might not be helpful to you and I guess maybe not to anyone else but it's what helped me figure things out after I had already read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and watched the tutorials. As well, on FF they have so many charts you can look through that have everything marked so it's clear where there was a shift.

EDIT I wanted to add, as mentioned several times the tutorials might be enough to help. I guess I just learn differently.

    This.

I wasn't actively TTC when I first started charting.  For a few months, I just logged the information in and watched the pattern.   Looking at other charts definitely helped too.

Is there something in particular that is confusing you?
