Miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, or corpus luteum cyst?

I am 7 wks pregnant and very worried. I've had a few days of brown discharge which turned into red blood (but only once) and then turn back to brown discharge which is showing up less and less. I did not have any cramping, only short shooting twinges of pain which are not bad at all and come only maybe once every few hours. My first dr appt is in 3 days, but I'm very worried. Has anyone had these issues? What were the results?

    I had bleeding and pains during all my pregnancies. 

    I did have a miscarriage with the second one, but it happened 5 weeks after I stopped bleeding.

    Bleeding can be scary, but a lot of times, it is no cause for concern.

    Call your doctor if you are concerned. Brown bleeding is generally from old blood and not a huge cause for concern.

    Thank ya'll for the encouraging words. I'm praying every night that everything is ok. Oh by the way, I forgot to mention the twinges are on the left side causing me to think cyst or ectopic pregnancy.

    I had some pretty intense twinges for about a week or so on and off when I was about 6 weeks along. I asked my fellow pregnant buddy (this is her 4th pregnancy) she told me it was just my uterus expanding. I never hade any spotting with it but the feeling itself had me a little freaked. Thankfully it went away and the doc says things are looking good.

     If you're really worried call your OB and get some reassurance.

     I'm almost 6 wks and I was having that same shooting pain in one side, almost like a gas pain. It wasnt so severe I couldnt move, but definitely unconfotable. I went in today and it was just a cyst. I was told they can get enlarged on the side my eggs came from. Mine was even bleeding, but it was totally not a big deal at all and they sent me home after a quick early sono. Just think positive thoughts!

    r the twinges during a certain  time sneezing coughing walking reaching up laying down?  my ectopic had the same Brown spotting but the twinges turned into a constant dull tugging pain w in four to five days.  I'd call and ask to get right in.
    After three miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy we are currently pursuing adoption. " Born not from our flesh, but born in our heart. You were longed for and wanted and loved from the start."

    I would see if you can move your OB appointment up a few days. You are far enough along where something should be visible on an ultrasound-at least you'll have an idea what's going on.
