Who else has a slapper?

DD was the same way around this age, but DS is crazy about it. Must repeatedly slap any surface he gets near. His favorites include the base of our floor lamp, the washing machine, and the high chair tray. He also does it while nursing, which has given rise to the phrase "titty slappin' good" to describe all things yummy.

    Yes!  Ashlynn slaps everything...her favorite surface, my chest.  good times.

    Me too!  Like you Pear, my husband loves to call it titty slapping.  I think they would be friends. 

    This weekend I used this to my advantage when I was trying to get ready and O was not cooperating.  Put her on the floor with a bowl of water and she was amused for at least 15 minutes.

    I am dying at "titty slapping good" . Awesome.

    Yes, DD loves to whack at surfaces. She reserves it only for flat things like the floor or tables, but I'm wondering if smacking mommy is next. Come to think of it she does whack her bottle when she is getting sleepy.

    Ds is slap happy as well. He slaps my chest the entire time he nurses, well, when he's not trying to rip my hair out of my head.

    We call it "patting" as in:  His report card from daycare last week said "LBB likes playing in the science tubs and patting the stuffed toys."

    Yeah, we get a lot of slapping but it's mostly during nursing.  She'll slap my chest, my face or her own legs/stomach.  She also slaps DH and I in the face every now and then.  She does slap a lot of the inanimate objects around the house, too, but her favourites are definitely body parts.  I think it makes a better noise and that's why she likes it more.

    L does this too! She only slaps while she is nursing... and it's either my chest, or her leg. I usually put my free hand on her leg so she doesn't end up with a bright red mark on her leg.

    She also loves pulling at my hair, too... If I have a ponytail she always manages to pull a little piece of it out so it looks like I have a rat tail going on.. it's pretty sexy actually Cool

    I use the slap-happiness to my advantage.

    Evan usually wakes up around 5:30 am and I bring him into our room to sleep until 7:30. When he wakes up I pull the covers down so that my legs are bare and sit him up. He lets me lay there with my eyes closed for another 10 minutes or so while he sits and slaps my thighs. 

    I'll do anything for a few extra minutes of rest.
