Books to Read

What books are you reading?

I though we could start a list to look over in case anyone is looking for a reading material. I am reading What to Expect when you are Expecting (of course).

I haven't really started any others yet but I am looking for more articles or books about TTC.

Let's Hear Some Suggestions...

Re: Books to Read

  • Okay, don't laugh... but I was thinking about this one:

Belly Laugh: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth by none other than Jenny McCarthy:):)  I obviously want to read a more medical/scientific book as well, but this one got recommended to me by a friend who said she enjoyed this as a break from the more informational books. :):)

  • I saw that one on Amazon! I think it is a great choice! :)
  • Anyone have any good ideas for books for the father-to-be?  He wants to try and gather some knowledge himself, and we aren't sure which books would be the most useful.  I think he's more interested in books about caring for the new baby than books about the pregnancy, if that helps narrow it down:)
  • I'm reading "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy."  So far, I've found it to be pretty funny & eye-opening.  It is NOTa book filled with factual medical information.  Rather, it is written by a mom of 4 who initially struggled with fertility.  She is very open about sharing her experiences and the experiences of many other women (espescially the embarrassing moments).  If you're looking for something on the lighter side, I would recommend it.
