Getting Enough Liquids

This is my first pregnancy, and we are so excited!  The baby is due January 2013.

 

I have been trying to drink water to stay hydrated, but I think I'm on water-overload -- it's just not even tasting good right now!  My appetite has been horrible, I have to force myself to eat.  Any suggestions for other beverages that are yummy but still give me the nutrients and liquids I need?  Or, what are some good ways to flavor water to make it tasty?

  • Sliced lemons or limes in water help w/ nausea. If you don't have the real deal, I think the juice you buy in the bottles work just as well.

  • Water with cucumber in it is amazing. You could always do lemons with some strawberries or raspberries...that's good too. I've been drinking a lot of lemonade...pomegrante lemonade & raspberry lemonade are my faves right now.

  • I bought this amazing water pitcher from bed bath and beyond that has a center filter where you can place sliced cucumber, strawberries, peaches, whatever you want! Makes the water taste awesome!

  • I have also been doing lots of lemonade (homemade) super yummy!! I need to run to the store and get strawberries then I will add those too. I have also been making blended frozen fruit drinks for something different.

  • I've been flavoring my water with lemon slices and even raspberries. I also drink a lot of V8 Fusions Lite juice, it's kind of pricey but I like it. And I've been drinking a ton of 1% milk.
