Is your tree up yet?

DH just went to get lunch, because we have been busy all morning, cleaning and packing away summer clothes (a little late, I know) and clothes that don't fit DS anymore.

Once he gets back, the tree will go up.  I am dreading it, sort of, but DS will really get into it this year, so it should be fun. I just hate all the work of putting it up and taking it down.

Anyone else doing that this weekend?

    I put it up the day or two before Thanksgiving because I was dreading getting it done and didn't want to have to deal with it after Thanksgiving.  So glad it's done now!

    I put ours up yesterday. So far, Nora hasn't messed with it.  She's really excited about it and likes looking at it, but hasn't touched it.  (I warned her not to).

    No, but I just asked DH if we could go buy it now.  He wants to wait until next weekend so we don't have a dead tree in our house all month long.

    Oh, and he's the Christmas fanatic and I'm the bah humbug.

    wow you guys are fast . . .I'm not entirely sure our tree has even been cut down yet . . . ok that's a silly statement - but we are always late to decorate for every holiday. e.g. Halloween decorations went up the morning of, and there were no t'giving decorations. Well, one of the neighbors pupkins rolled down their driveway into our yard and we left it there, does that count?

    DH just put it up and primped it (artificial).  Now we need to decorate it.  This is the earliest we've done it.  With kids and now being in a new house, I wasn't going to let DH get away with not setting it up early (he usually drags his feet until about a week before xmas).  :-)

    DD brought ours up from the basement yesterday along with all the trimmings - she put the tree together, I helped her form the branches (straighten them out) and helped her decorate it ~ all after we got up and went to the Freehold Mall until 2.  She was SO thrilled with everything we got.  We went to the Ocean Mall today and finished up some more shopping, and when we got home she wrapped all her presents. 

    I'm so glad she's so helpful being a 12 yr old.  It really has come in handy during my TWW, especially since I can't really lift/do much.
