Alright, anyone else not done? We would have been mostly done yesterday except for the crib issue (summary: crib was recalled, had to order new one, found out last night).
What do you still have left to do?
Our list:
- My dad is picking up and delivering our glider/ottoman by Wednesday
- Hang curtain rod and curtains
- DH needs to spray paint the Ung Drill frame I bought at IKEA, I need to buy fabric for the "picture" and mount her first initial to it.
- Find, buy, and hang a white shelf that has pegs for hanging things
- Find and buy lamps
- Decide what to hang on the wall above her dresser/changer
- Put the crib together and make the bed (all linens are ready)
Re: Who else isn't done with the nursery? (aka, make me feel better)
I can make you feel a whole lot better.
We havnt done a single thing b/c we havent moved yet. The babys room at the new house is not even painted yet b/c the new house isnt done.
So my LO crib sits in the box on the corner. Sigh.
Oh we aren't done either. I still have to pick out blinds or curtains for the windows and then get them hung/installed. We still need lighting - there is no overhead light so I need a lamp or maybe two lamps. I need a little side table next to the rocking chair. I have a couple of art prints I want to frame and hang but I'm waiting to do that until I get the curtains up so I know where to hang them. And there are shelves wall to ceiling behind the door to the room that still need to be painted. They're half done.
On top of all of that, we have a TON of clothes that we've received that I still need to wash and organize by size and put away. Thank goodness I'm not due until the end of July!
This baby won't really have his own room. He will share with us at first, then I will transition DS#1's room into a shared room (unless we are able to move first, but I doubt that will happen since we don't even have the land finalized yet--and still have to build a house).
So yeah, I am in complete denial that I will be having a baby in about 7 weeks. Don't have baby clothes out yet, or bassinet set up in our room, nothing. Hopefully it will all come together!
MEMEME!
I need to buy a curtain rod/hang the curtain
DH will be installing a light on the ceiling fan and then switching the fans between DS' room and the nursery and figuring out what to do with our modem/router that are currently sitting on the dresser.
Working with a person on etsy for art and fan pulls, will put those up when they arrive.
Taking a bunch of stuff to Goodwill tomorrow that's currently sitting in the middle of the floor, will feel much better after that

Not totally done.
To do:
1. Hang some of the wall art/frames
2. Buy a few more knick knacks to put on his shelf
3. Find and buy a lamp
4. Figure out a place to put our video monitor that can actually see into the crib (we are struggling with this!)
5. Install blinds in the window
6. Some light organizing/rearranging of things like clothes, blankets, paci's, grooming stuff, etc.
This makes me so relieved...I keep telling my DH that LO will be sleeping in one of our dresser drawers if we don't get our act together!
My mom & I are recovering our glider, room still needs 2nd coat, curtains/rods, new fan & most important furniture. Hopefully, it all comes together soon, dr said she may come earlier then scheduled c on 7/11.
Btw, if you're still looking for a white shelf with pegs, I just got one from Land of Nod & I'm so happy with it! That's what I'm planning on putting above the dresser/changing table.

We are not even close to having our nursery done. It's been made into our temp. laundry room so it is filled with clothes that need to be washed. If only SO could wash his work clothes at work. *dream*
All of our nursery furniture and decorations are in our living room. So LO looks like he'll be sleeping in our room.
I hold on so hard and pray that I won't say something wrong. I look at the stars and dream that the universe was ours.
We've painted. And there is a crib mattress on the floor. No crib or other furniture. That's it. Due in three weeks.
Hope that makes you feel better.
We're still working on ours too. Here's what we have left to do:
1. Finish making crib skirt and altering curtains (to lengthen)
2. Hang shelves above dresser
3. Install a door on the bedroom
4. Install closet door
5. Hang art work (and decide on what to put on one of the walls)
6. Buy more organizing bins (for inside dresser drawers, and inside closet)
Really, most of what's left is decorative/non-essential. But I'm still hoping to have it done before she arrives!
Mama's Clone - 07/18/12
THIS - except we do have a Pack N' Play set- up and my friend has given me her bassinette to use downstairs. We ordered the crib this weekend and will do decals, wall art and other furniture after we move. Clothes are washed and have been put in containers. But I knew this would happen since we are having our house built and it won't be ready until early-August.
Baby BOY is due May 23, 2014!
So much left!
Install a fan.
Decorate: there is nothing on the walls and no ideas either. No curtains. The crib won't be here when baby is born due to some logistical issues. No mattress either or anything that completes the crib. No mobile or bumpers.
There is more. Basically, the to do list for the nursery/baby arrival is still really long.
This! We just moved this last week and hadn't gotten anything done in the other house either. {sigh} So much to do!
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
Um I still have tons of things strewn about on the floor. I have no idea how to decorate the room and DH doesn't help because we live in an apartment and he doesn't feel it necessary to decorate when we will move again.... silly man. And I have this terrible cold which is really making me more exhuasted than ever. He keeps bugging me about my go back for the hospital but I have no desire to get things together because I feel I still have to shop for a few things and then comes back the exhuastion and sickness
ugh. Anyway, you are not alone!

Lost my dear husband, October 3, 2012. You are the bear of my heart dear, and nothing can take that away.
I haven't even started...her room is just my DS's old nursery but barren and full of storage crap that I don't know what to do with.
And if it makes you feel even better...we are not planning on doing the nursery until after she is born.
I wish everyone the best of luck in getting things accomplished pre-baby but I have to admit that it makes me feel better than I'm not the only one staring at a long to-do list. Every time I see a "nursery complete, PIP" post, I kind of panic!
Thanks, jend310, that shelf is perfect! I need to figure out which size I need but I love it.
