Does anyone on here have a "nickname" they are calling their bump yet? Just curious....I know most people go the "peanut" or "bean" route, but I want to hear something different
DH has taken to calling my bump "alien"...lol, he's a nerd

Well, we don't have any nicknames that have stuck yet, but this morning DH said goodbye to his litte 'blueberry' before work (I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and according to the bump that means I've got a blueberry). Cute, but we'll probably come up with something else when we have our 1st u/s.

my mother and husband have been calling our bumb (which my husband says lump just to be smart)... Sesame... bc we read when we found out a few weeks ago that it was the size of a sesame... my sister just gave birth in April her baby was Nugget, since she did not find out the sex.... which i m hoping to not find out the sex as well (though my hubby wants to know)... i do NOT like sesame @ all... but my first son was peanut!!!
Our Little Buffalo. It's an inside joke, obviously. We joke about names and decided that boy or girl, we'll name it Buffalo and call it Buffy if a girl and Buff for a boy.
my hubby insists the babys going to be a girl and the name will be Gertrude... I cant stand the name. I keep saying "NO" its not going to have that name.... but he calls my belly "Gertie" I just laugh.
We've been saying "Little Bug" because that's what my 2.5 year old said when we told him there's a baby in mommy's tummy. (It's from one of his kid's songs CDs) But there's a good chance it's twins, so we may have to rethink it once we know for sure!
Our last name starts with a P so I started calling it Baby Pea .. so its stuck. Now everyone who knows calls it Baby Pea. Think that'll stick till we find out the sex
We showed DS's 12 week US to my sisters and my youngest sister (who at the time was at least 23) was surprised he already had arms.... she thought he would be more like a California raisin or something like that... so some how he became known as Murray from that!! So we will see what this one because.... maybe Murray again I liked Murray!
I sort of wanted to call her/him sweet pea from the beginning but it's not really sticking. Right now I keep saying BabyM2.0. Maybe something will come to us after the ultrasound tomorrow. DS was peanut because he looked like a peanut at the NT scan.
Logan Alexander born May 9th 2011. He has stolen my heart forever.

we recently redid our classrooms and our new theme is "jungle". ive been surrounded by trees coconuts zebras and monkeys! Our little monkey has been what ive adopted as this ones nickname. DD was cupcake and my family took that and ran, everything they see with cupcakes they buy for her, hats clothes shoes toys. maybe this one will be all monkeys!
My husband and I always joked that we'd call our baby "lovebug" since we have a thing for old VW bugs. When I saw the February picture with "lovebug" on it, I knew it was meant to be .

We called Jack "The Stig" (it's from Top Gear. We're obsessed with BBC). LO#2 was "the sequel" and this one is "Lovebug" so far bc of the February due date, plus I kept seeing ladybugs EVERYWHERE during the 2ww, including one hanging out on top of my HPT's one morning. I think the ladybugs were a sign.
We've been using The Stig!! Too funny! It seems everyone has had a different name though. we've had Milo, Stig, it's associated food, and my personal favorite: Experiment 626

Same here. My mom, especially, loves calling it "baby pea." She even bought me a peapod onesie and a bright green sleep sack, which are totally adorable.
smile55k:
I love some of the names you guys came up with! We call ours "the parasite" sometimes, otherwise just "baby".
Well, DD was referred to as 'the burrito' because it rhymed with one of my husband's NNs. Needless to say, when the burrito was revealed as a girl (we were team green with her)...she became Nugget and Princess. Immediately.
I think we may go back to 'the burrito' with this one as well.

My Chart
DS was Lumpkin because he made my belly lumpy when he stuck his head/butt out.
So far, this one is "number 2" which is a little inappropriate. We'll see if another nickname comes up as the pregnancy progresses.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Another #2 here! I'm sure other unique nicknames will emerge in time!
