The beco butterfly?

With my DS we mainly used our woven wrap. We also tried a catbird baby and ring sling and liked both although I ended up selling the cat bird baby because it did not have tons of support when he got older. With this babay we will of course use the woven wrap but I was conseding a new SSC for ease of putting it on since I will be chasing after a toodler. My friend has a beco butterfly and I love that you can switch from front to back without taking the baby out. Anyone want to tell me how you liked the beco butterfly. I know it has teh infant insert option. Can you wear it up to toodler as well. Any info or other better options welcome!

Re: The beco butterfly?

  • I am planning on buying the Beco Gemini.  I like that you can nurse in the Gemini, you can do the back carry and forward facing, and you don't need an infant insert for it.

  • FWIW, you can also nurse in the butterfly.  I wasn't interested in a forward facing carry but did like the option of transferring baby to another person while still in the carrier so... the butterfly was a better fit for me!

  • I have an earlier model that has an insert but it's ( the infant insert) not as easy to use. However my babies weren't very small so I never used the infant insert. I love our beco. We used it to back carry our toddler for quite a while.  I love how easy it is to use.
