Finally had a GOOD stranger comment...

I went to the grocery store Saturday. I usually go to Walmart because it's close to our house, but I was not in the mood to fight crowds so I went to Kroger instead.

Not only was it far less crowded, the check-out lady was super nice and said all the right things about me being pregnant for once. She was like, "You're the fifth pregnant lady I've had today!" I was like, "Must be something in the water." She was like, "Possibly. Do you mind if I ask when you're due?" I told her and she was like, "Two of the other ladies were also due that week." Then she said the magic words, "You look great, by the way. I couldn't even tell you were pregnant from the back. You must be having a boy!"

I told my husband that I'm never going back to Walmart. Not only did the cashier make me feel good, I saved like, $30 over what I normally spend on groceries...

    Hellz, yeah! That's super cool. I'm glad someone got good comments this weekend. I had more comments than I've ever had from strangers and they all pertained to my degree of "doneness." Like a steak.

    How nice! And I like that she said "Do you mind if I ask" instead of just barging into your life.

    That's what really stood out to me, too. IRL, I sometimes get mistaken for being a b!tch because I just prefer to keep things to myself. The fact that she asked was really cool to me and made me want to tell her.

    I got one too! DH and I were at a furniture tent sale and a woman struck up a conversation with us about the best fabrics for messy kids. She asked when I was due and when I told her she said, "Wow! you are all baby! You are gonna bounce back like that!" And then she said she worked in OB/GYN, and guessed that we were having a girl. I felt awesome after that. Lately all anyone has been saying to me is that I'm due really soon, which is really stressing me out because we have so much left to do!
