Wall stickers?

I was thinking that it could be cute to get some wall stickers for the baby's room. My mom used to have a day care and she had some of these back in the day that were awesome. They peeled off so easily but also stuck on and never fell off....

Anyway, DH and my mom seem to agree that this would be a good idea and I even saw some at Target that I loved...but I'm just wondering what everyone's opinions are? Has anyone tried these before?

I guess I am worried that maybe they're not as awesome as I remember them being years ago.

Re: Wall stickers?

  • I plan on getting a vinyl wall decal for the baby's room if it's a girl. I want a cherry blossom branch with a bird on it. I'm not sure if you're looking for removeable or not. Most of the stickers now-a-days are vinyl and do not harm your walls/paint. I am a Stampin' Up! Demo and we sell some as well that I have in my bedroom and I've peeled them off and nothing has happened to my paint/walls. Good luck.

Nevermind... I re-read and you want them to re-stick. Hrrmmm not sure about that kind.

  • Well, I'm not looking to re-arrange them every week. I'm just thinking that when the day comes and I don't want them anymore, are they going to wreak havock on my walls.

If I put it on and it has a wrinkle in it and I need to peel half of it off to smooth out the wrinkle, am I even going to be able to do that or will it be stuck on forever....

    That kind of thing.

  • I used them in DS's nursery when he was a baby and they worked out great! When he was too old for them we just peeled them off of the walls and turned his room into a big boy room.
  • They have some at Michaels it s a craft store...They can be peeled off and moved

  • There's always Upper Case Living, they are not re-attachable once you take them off though. I love those because you can create your own sayings. They were easy to put on, a little elbow grease but I had no issues with getting wrinkes or anything in them.

I know Kohl's had some cheaper versions of pre-made sayings too, over in their frames and art area. They aren't re-attachable either though.

Neither would ruin your walls - they come right off no prob.

  • Thanks!

I really want to do the classic Winnie The Pooh one's from Target but I'm sure once I start I'll be running all over town looking for more.

  • Were going to do one of the sayings from wallart. I think we will use the one that says "Dream Big Little Boy" to hang over the crib. I've heard great things about the decals in general. My bf had the Winnie the Pooh ones.
