Yesterday I ordered my first big group of CDs and accessories. Today I found 3 more covers that I wanted to try... a GroVia shell, a Rumparooz Lil Joey, and a Rumparooz one size cover.
I feel like I'm starting to get addicted to this! When baby is no longer fitting into his/her newborn covers, will he/she most likely be fitting into the one size diapers?? Some of the brands seem to have a few sizes, but I'm wondering when the "one size" usually starts to fit. I don't want there to be a time when baby's too big for newborn covers but not fitting into the larger covers yet... Thanks
Re: Newborn to next size diaper?
Rumparooz does make a lil Joey newborn cover. I have two of these and four thirsties duo size one covers. I think they seem pretty comparable to each other size wise as the lil joey covers have a snap down rise. The PUL in the lil joey covers seems a little stiffer, but the outside is softer. Also, the velcro seems a little stronger on the lil joey cover. I also liked that they had bright colors (I have the pumpkin and sunshine) and they are a few dollars cheaper then the thirsties. I can't speak to the performance of either one as my little guy isn't quite here yet.
I also have two one size rumparooz covers in crimson and robotronic. They get about as short as the lil joey covers because of the four step rise but are about an inch or so wider, so I don't know that they would fit a little baby. For whatever reason, the PUL on these seems different then the lil joey covers and they feel super soft. I can't wait to try all of these covers! I quickly got addicted too!
My LO just outgrew her XS Thirsties covers at 5 months old. I also packed away the NB sized workhorse fitteds and KL0. The NB Grovia stopped fitting her before she was 3 months old. I think the NB BG would have stopped fitting around the same time as the Grovia, but we didn't use them b/c I hated them.
I love Thirsties Duo covers. DD can still comfortably wear her size 1 duo covers. They are such a great deal b/c they can be used longer.
