gift idea for new baby

Hello, my SIL just delivered her 2nd boy, and they have another boy who's 18 months.  Since she has 2 boys so close in age, most of their clothes and toys are still in good condition.  What would you recommend for a gift for the new baby or for mom?

    One of my co-workers got one of these books for my DS and I really love it. I also have given them as gifts to friends for the new baby and the older sibling and they have been a huge hit.

    She may still need some baby clothes since the 2 boys were born in opposite seasons, you could check with the mom to see what she may need (example bathing suit/summer rompers).  You could also get something personalized for the new baby, like an engraved picture frame or a piggy bank.

    I liked gifts of consumables - things like diapers, wipes.  Also, things we went through from the first baby that weren't in good condition, like bibs, washcloths, etc.

    I like personalized gifts, monogrammed blankets, burp cloths, etc.  Etsy has a lot of great things.  Since little brother is getting so many hand me downs, it would be nice if he had a thing or two just for him.

    For mom, bringing dinner is great or gift cards for restaurants, as are certificates for spa treatments.

    I second this! Things like washcloths, bibs, burp pads from my DS are in really hard shape (he's 20 months). I would not buy any newborn or 0-3 clothes, especially onesies or sleepers (footed pjs). They don't wear them very long and all of ours still look brand new.

    Gifts for mommy might be nice, too. Or give the gift of a meal, either home-cooked or a gift card to a restaurant. I have no idea how we're going to keep ourselves fed.
